SAVANNAH – Savannah Police Department conducted a Total Focus Operation over the weekend which led to 26 arrests. SPD also recovered illegal drugs, as well as stolen weapons.
“Total Focus is an initiative centered on data analysis with the aim of removing guns, drugs, and dangerous criminals from our neighborhoods.” said Lenny B. Gunther, Savannah Police Chief. “We achieve this by concentrating our resources in a carefully structured and coordinated approach.”
The operation was held Apr 19 – Apr 20, using intelligence-based policing to address criminal activity and quality of life issues.
The operation resulted in 26 arrests, which included ten felony arrests and sixteen misdemeanor arrests. SPD seized 162.65 grams of illegal drugs and thirteen guns were recovered. SPD also issued 248 traffic citations with 8 DUI arrests.
