SAVANNAH – Savannah Police Department conducted a Total Focus Operation over the weekend which led to 26 arrests.
“Total Focus is an initiative that focuses on data analysis, technology, and community and law enforcement partnerships to eliminate dangerous criminals from our communities,” said Lenny B. Gunther, Savannah Police Chief. “We do this by strategically allocating our resources in a well-organized and coordinated manner with the ultimate goal of keeping the community safe.”
The operation was held July 26 – July 27, using intelligence-based policing to address criminal activity and quality of life issues.
The operation resulted in 26 arrests, which included 6 felony arrests and 20 misdemeanor arrests. SPD issued 87 traffic citations with 9 DUI arrests. SPD also seized 184.48 grams of illegal drugs.
