SAVANNAH, GA (March 27, 2013): A Savannah man received serious injuries today when the car he was driving and an SUV crashed head-on in Savannah’s south side.
Michael Fredrick Medlin, 24, was in serious but stable condition at Memorial University Medical Center after the 1:20 p.m. crash on the road that parallels Abercorn Street east of Savannah Mall. He was extricated from his car by Savannah Fire.
He was driving a silver 2005 Honda Civic eastbound on Fulton Road near Navajo Road when it collided with a blue 1998 Ford Explorer driven by Amie Marie Tatum, 25.
Major Accident Investigation Team officers from Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department said the westbound Explorer had drifted across the center turn lane and into the eastbound lane.
