SAVANNAH, GA (September 15, 2021) – Savannah Police made two quick arrests in a shooting that injured a 35-year-old Savannah woman today.

Around 10:20 a.m., officers responded to a local hospital after reports that a female victim arrived by private vehicle with a non-life-threatening injury. Officers quickly identified the shooting location as a residence on the 1400 block of Chester Street.

Reportedly, a verbal dispute between known individuals resulted in the shooting. Detectives identified the suspects as Devon Wales, 30, and Danielle Gordon, 35, of Sylvania. With the help of the Pooler Police Department and Garden City Police Department, they were apprehended without incident in Pooler.

Wales was charged with multiple counts of aggravated assault, and Gordon was charged with party to a crime and aggravated assault, DVA.  Both have been transported to the Chatham County Detention Center.
