SAVANNAH, GA (April 6, 2015): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit seeks to identify the suspect who struck and injured two men with a minivan before fleeing the scene early Sunday morning.

The incident happened at 4:00 a.m., on Highway 17 and Gamble Road, near the El Parasio Bar. Metro officers found Antonio Pablo Cruz, 25, and Bairo Alexander, 24, lying on the grass after being struck by a blue green minivan. Cruz and Alexander were hit while attempting to walk across Gamble Road. They were transported by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the incident began inside El Parisio with a verbal altercation between Cruz, Alexander and the mini-van’s driver. Outside after closing, Cruz and Alexander approached the driver again just before they were struck.

The driver is described as a Hispanic male. The mini-van is possibly a Chevrolet.
