UPDATE: Tuesday, Dec. 16, Tamika Garner, 24, of Savannah, was arrested by Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Central Precinct Crime Suppression Unit. Garner is charged with aggravated assault for cutting Bobby Smith-Jackson on Dec 5.

SAVANNAH, GA (December 5, 2014): Violent Crimes detectives of Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a cutting that sent a man to the hospital this afternoon.
The incident happened at Savannah’s Greyhound Bus Station on the 600 block of W. Oglethorpe Avenue, at approximately 2:13 p.m. There, officers found Bobby Smith-Jackson, 59, of Savannah suffering from a cut to his face. Smith-Jackson was transported to Memorial University Medical Center further treatment.
Investigators believe Smith-Jackson was cut with a knife by a female suspect after the two engaged in an altercation moments earlier, at Family Dollar, on the 700 block of West Oglethorpe Avenue.
The suspect was last seen walking away from the scene toward Yamacraw Village. She is described as a heavy-set African-American in her mid-thirties, with a medium brown to fair skin tone. During the incident, she wore a black jacket over a red shirt, with dark pants.
This is an ongoing investigation.
