SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department is investigating a June 20 shooting that occurred in the 700 block of E. 65th St. This resulted in the death of an adult male, who succumbed to his injuries on June 25, 2026.
On June 20 at approximately 1:25 a.m., SPD responded to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers conducted a canvas of the area. The victim was found on the ground of a parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was treated and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center. On June 25 at approximately 12:37 p.m., he was pronounced deceased at the hospital. This case is now being investigated as a homicide.
