Update: Tyriek Walker, 21, turned himself into SCMPD Headquarters at approximately 9: 50 a.m. He has been transported to the Chatham County Detention Center, charged with murder.

SAVANNAH, GA (November 9, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a murder suspect wanted in connection to the Sep. 12 shooting that claimed the life of Dominque Powell, 24.
Tyriek Walker, 21, is considered armed and dangerous. Walker is a black male with a low haircut, standing approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing around 154 pounds. He is believed to be in the Savannah area, but may have ties to South Carolina.
At about 5 p.m. on the incident date, responding officers found Dominque Powell, 24, outside a residence in the 900 block of Garey Avenue, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
Anyone with information about Walker’s whereabouts is asked not to approach him, but to call 911 immediately.
