SAVANNAH, GA (February 23, 2016): Savannah- Chatham Metropolitan Police Department arrested three teens, Monday afternoon, in connection to burglaries in the Georgetown area.
Just before 4 p.m. West Chatham Precinct officers responded to the 100 block of Stockbridge Drive in reference to a burglary report that involved four suspects attempting to break in to a vacant residence. Moments later, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Cambridge Drive, where two suspects reportedly kicked in a back door of a residence that was occupied. The suspects fled toward a nearby neighborhood after noticing the home was occupied.
An officer from the Southside precinct, who had just ended his shift, three of the four suspects running toward an apartment complex in the area and detained them. All three suspects were transported to the West Chatham precinct for questioning.
The suspects, two 13-year-old males and one 16-year-old male are all charged with one count of burglary in the first degree and one count of burglary in the second degree. They were transported to the Savannah Regional Youth Detention Center without incident.
