SAVANNAH, GA (August 8, 2015): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police and the Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating two fires at the same West Chatham County residence on Friday.
The first fire started at about 3:15 p.m., the second at 8:38 p.m. at a Crestwood Drive residence. Both fires began in a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe parked in the attached garage. In each incident, Southside Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the blaze. The second fire spread throughout the residence, causing irreparable damage.
Investigators are still determining whether arson is a factor.
