SAVANNAH, GA (October 30, 2015): The Criminal Investigations Division of Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department is investigating two attempted sexual assaults in the Forsyth Park area reported within an hour each other on Thursday evening.
The first incident was reported just after 8 p.m. on the east edge of Forsyth Park. The second encounter was reported nearby, on the 200 block of East Taylor Street at about 9:24 p.m.
In both cases, female victims in their 20s were approached by a male with a gun who reportedly attempted to sexually assault them. Both victims escaped unharmed.
The suspect in both cases is described as a black male who appears to be in his 20s, wearing a striped sweater.
