SAVANNAH, GA ( September 9, 2011) Two men are in the hospital after wrecking a stolen truck late Thursday night.
9:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to take a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim told police he was working in the area of Capitol Street in a gated area, when the suspect, Michael Germany, 18, jumped into his truck while he was working on equipment and drove away, picking up a second person near the entrance of the gate.
10:40 p.m., the vehicle was found wrecked at Wheaton and Randolph streets. Both the occupants were trapped and had to be extricated from the vehicle by Savannah Fire and Rescue. GERMANY and his passenger were both transported to Memorial University Medical Center. GERMANY is listed in serious condition. His passenger is listed in serious but stable condition.
