SAVANNAH, GA (June 7, 2011): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the gunman who fatally wounded a Savannah man this morning.
Gregory Williams, 42, of the 300 block of West 32nd Street, was shot just after 2 a.m. after an altercation inside the two-story duplex where he lived. He was transported to Memorial University Medical Center where he died shortly afterward.
Police have closed off the street in front of the duplex inhabited entirely by family members and are canvassing the neighborhood asking residents for information in an attempt to identify the gunman who came to the house.
Anyone who has information about the shooting or heard or saw anything in the area around that time is asked to call the SCMPD Homicide Division at (912) 651-6728 or CRIMESTOPPERS at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637).
