SAVANNAH, GA ( October 1, 2012 ) Detectives are continuing to investigate the death of a young woman discovered early Sunday morning.
Just after 6:30 a.m., Savannah Fire was dispatched to an area just off of Oglethorpe Avenue in the Yamacraw Village Housing Complex after receiving calls of a vehicle on fire.
During the process of extinguishing the flames, a woman’s body was discovered in the Dodge sedan. SCMPD Detectives were called in to investigate and a crime scene was established.
The woman that was located in the burned out vehicle has been identified as 18-year-old Amber Deloach of Savannah. An autopsy was performed this morning. Detectives will be investigating this as a homicide, and are continuing to follow leads.
