SAVANNAH, GA (July 26, 2011): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police on Tuesday found a Vietnamese man who disappeared Saturday safe and sound.
Hung Nguyen, 36,of Fayetteville, NC., who speaks very little English and is unfamiliar with the area, was found at the old Savannah Mission near 40th and Bull streets by Savannah police. A Central Precinct officer who saw the posting remembered a man fitting that description asking for directions to a shelter this weekend. Hguyen had last been seen about 2 a.m. Saturday when Tybee Island Police gave him a ride to the Wal-Mart area on US 80.
Members of the group that brought him to Savannah from North Carolina said they are enroute to pick him up.
