SAVANNAH, GA (March 19, 2012) An overnight stabbing sends one man to the hospital and another to jail.
Just after midnight officers responded to the 1200 Block of Rogers Street after receiving a call of a stabbing. The call included a description of the suspect. While enroute to the scene they spotted a man fitting that description. The man, Gregory CLARK, 45, ran at the sight of police. He was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.
According to witnesses the incident stemmed from an argument over aluminum cans. CLARK threatened Kenneth Pollen, 56, with a knife, the fight that ensued resulted in Pollen being stabbed and CLARK suffering some minor wounds. The victim and suspect were both transported to Memorial University Medical Center from injuries sustained during the original incident.
CLARK was treated and transported to the Chatham County Detention Center, where he was charged with aggravated assault.
