SAVANNAH, GA (September 15, 2010): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police detectives are investigating a stabbing that occurred in the early hours of this morning.
A 14- year-old boy is in the hospital in critical condition after a verbal altercation turned physical. Just after 3:00 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of Harmon Street on report of a person bleeding. Responding officers observed a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed, and within minutes received a call that the victim was at memorial University Hospital.
Detectives were able to determine that the victim and the suspect, 24-year-old Jerale WILLIAMS, had become engaged in an argument resulting in the suspect stabbing the victim.
Jerale WILLIAMS is wanted for aggravated assault. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crimestoppers at 912-234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637) and in the body type “CStop2020” plus the tip. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash award.
