METRO SEEKS AUTO PART THIEF

SAVANNAH, GA (August 26, 2013): Southside Precinct Detectives of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a theft at a Savannah automobile dealership.

Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 12:34 a.m. surveillance cameras at Island Motorsports on Posey Street captured a man entering the property in a white Chevy Impala. The subject removed a tire and low profile rim from a Cadillac marked for sale. The suspect left the dealership, then returned for a second wheel moments later.

After further review of the surveillance footage, investigators determined that a black male suspect committed the theft.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the white Chevy Impala or its driver is asked to call Crimestoppers at (912) 234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
