SAVANNAH, GA (April 29, 2016) – The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Robbery Unit is investigating three commercial armed robberies that occurred in the early morning hours, April 29, at three businesses on Abercorn Street.
A convenience store in the 10500 block of Abercorn was robbed at approximately 2:45 a.m. At approximately 4:30 a.m., a hotel in the 8400 block was robbed, and at 4:45 a.m., a second hotel in the 5700 block of Abercorn was also robbed. Detectives believe the same suspect robbed each of these businesses.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6-feet, to 6-feet, 3-inches tall with a slender build. He was wearing a black skull cap, black T-shirt, black denim pants and gloves. The suspect was armed with a handgun and fled each scene on foot.
