SAVANNAH, Ga– The Savannah Police Department has arrested 31-year-old Tyler Jones and 62-year-old Willie Jones in connection with a Sept. 2 commercial armed robbery in the 1300 block of Montgomery St.
SPD responded to the scene at around 2 p.m. based on reports of a commercial robbery. Officers learned that two individuals had entered the store while armed, assaulted an employee and took money from the store. A combination of city, private and Flock cameras were used to identify and locate both suspect vehicles, allowing officers to detain the suspects.
Tyler Jones has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, kidnapping, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Willie Jones has been charged with battery, aggravated assault, armed robbery, and kidnapping.
