SAVANNAH, GA (October 6, 2015): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Robbery Unit detectives ask the public’s help in identifying the suspects who robbed and injured a man on the 400 block of West Congress Lane on Monday night.
At about 10:30 p.m. Metro responded to Memorial University Medical Center, where the 30-year-old victim sought treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the robbery.
The robbery reportedly occurred at about 9 p.m. as the victim walked through Congress Lane. An unknown male subject approached the victim asking for a dollar. As the victim reached for his wallet, he was struck then beaten by another unknown subject. The suspects took the victim’s wallet then fled.
Investigators believe there were at least two suspects in this case. One suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 30-40. The subject’s directions of travel are unknown.
