SAVANNAH – Savannah Police Detectives are investigating an Aug 24 shooting near the intersection of Whitaker Street and W. Congress Lane that left an adult female with a non-life-threatening wound.
At around 2:30 a.m. officers responded to the scene based on reports of gunfire. While investigating the scene officers were informed that a gunshot wound victim arrived at Candler Hospital seeking medical attention.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
