SAVANNAH, GA (August 30, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Islands Precinct detectives have arrested a man suspected in connection to a pair of burglaries in the Islands jurisdiction.
Islands Precinct detectives arrested Najee Frazier, 26 on Aug. 26. A search of a home that Frazier frequented on the 1500 block of 37th Street connected him to two burglaries on Aug. 11 and may have possibly linked him to other crimes in other jurisdictions.
“Officers’ hard work, determination and the desire to protect and serve the citizens of our community paid off in the end by making this significant arrest,” says Captain Devonn Adams, Islands Precinct Commander.
Metro responded to the intersection of Fort Bartow Road and Riverside Drive, Aug. 11 at approximately 11 a.m. after reports of a burglary in progress. Reportedly, at least three suspects were seen leaving the scene in a silver Hyundai sedan toward Islands Expressway. Later this day around 12:30 p.m. Metro responded to a burglary report in the 200 block of Oatland Island Road. A resident came home for lunch when they noticed their home had been burglarized. Several items to were taken from both homes.
