SAVANNAH,GA ( May 22, 2012) A drug deal gone bad landed a 21-year-old Savannah man in a hospital with gunshot wounds Monday night.

Craig Yeomans received non-life threatening injuries about 10 p.m. when a man in a blue SUV fired at him while he was walking near his residence in front of Herschel V. Jenkins High School on the 1800 block of East Derenne Avenue.

He said he had called a man who had sold him marijuana before who asked him to come to the high school for another purchase. When the SUV approached he pulled his money out to make the purchase but a passenger got out and tried to rob him.

The driver of the SUV was described as in his mid-20s, 170 pounds with an average to husky build and a long goatee beard. The gunman was wearing all black clothing and had a dark complexion and a goatee.
