SAVANNAH, GA (October 30, 2014): Robbery detectives from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department are seeking the public’s help in locating a male wanted for questioning in a robbery in which the clerk was shot.
A 32-year-old clerk received a non-life threatening gunshot wound in the 12:01 a.m. robbery of Flajae’s Convenience Store on the 800 block of Montgomery Street Sept. 28.
The clerk reported a masked gunman came into the store, demanded money and then shot him once before running away with cash, firing twice more as he left.
Joshua Johnson, 21, of the 1200 block of Collins Street, was arrested Oct. 1 and charged with aggravated assault and robbery in the case, but detectives are continuing to investigate. Johnson had been banned from the store in the past.
Detectives are interested in talking to a black male in his teens or early 20s who was in or near the store around the time of the robbery. The male, with a small afro hair style and wearing blue jeans and a blue T-shirt was photographed in the store just before the robbery.
