SAVANNAH, GA. (July 2, 2014): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Islands Precinct detectives are searching for a man who stole roughly 40 pounds of cigarettes from a Savannah store.
Friday, June 6, just after 2 a.m., surveillance cameras captured a man behaving suspiciously before stealing two 20-pound boxes of cigarettes from a Parkers Store on the 2000 block of Beech Street. The suspect then entered a dark colored car waiting nearby. The getaway car fled the scene, heading east bound on Beech Street.
The suspect is described as a 25-to-30-year-old black male with a medium brown complexion. He stands 5-5 to 5-8 and weighs about 240 pounds with a muscular upper body. During the theft, he wore a low cut beard, white T-shirt, blue jean shorts and tan or orange sneakers.
