SAVANNAH, GA ( March 4, 2011) The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police, the School of Law and Criminal Justice at Savannah High and the Boy Scouts of America pinned14 new cadets into the explorer program on March, 3rd at Savannah High.
The cadets are the first in more than 10 years to participate in the program. The organizers expect to work with the students throughout their entire time in high school. The cadets will have the opportunity to participate in National Crime Prevention Day, police ride-alongs and obstacle course opportunities. They will also have a chance to go on field trips to the medical examiner’s office and Hunter Army Air Field emergency vehicle operations course.
It is the hope of everyone involved that the 14 new cadets will stay involved in the explorer program and go on to a career in law enforcement.
The cadets are: Crystal Bridges, Tyran Brown, Christopher Crawford, Cyhnna Davis, Carter Kelly, William Lonon, Katie Mayers, Justin Patrick, Kadejah Rosier, Cameron Solomon, Javonte’ Spivey, Jessica Stich and Andres Tyler.
