SAVANNAH, GA (February 17, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Robbery Unit is searching for two suspects in an attempted robbery in Forsyth Park, Monday night.
A male victim was first approached by two suspects at the Monterey Square on Bull Street where the suspects engaged him in conversation. The victim then continued to travel toward Forsyth Park, where the two black male suspects reportedly followed him to Hall and Drayton Streets. One suspect attacked the victim from behind, but the victim was able to fight him off. The suspects then fled on foot westbound through the park.
Both suspects are described as being black males. One suspect was approximately 5 feet 8 inches with a short twisted hairstyle, wearing a long sleeved camouflage shirt and dark gray sweat pants. His accomplice appeared to be younger and shorter with a narrow face and wore a red shirt and possibly khaki pants during the incident.
