SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department responded to a May 31 shooting in the 800 block of Porter St. that left an adult female deceased.
Officers from the Northwest Precinct responded to the scene at around 6:25 p.m. based on reports of a gun being discharged in the area. Investigators canvassed the area and found evidence of a shooting but no victim. A short time later officers were informed the victim arrived at the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. Life saving measures were performed but the victim succumbed to her injuries.
After an initial investigation, detectives determined that the incident was the result of an ongoing dispute between two parties.
