SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department is investigating a Jan. 16 fatal shooting in the 800 block of Carter St. that left one adult male injured and another deceased.
SPD responded to the scene at around 6:30 p.m. based on reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered the two men. One was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center; the other had succumbed to his wound on the scene.
The incident appears to have been the result of an altercation between the two men. Both weapons used were recovered by police.
