SAVANNAH, GA (August 13, 2017) – Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police’s Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a shooting and cutting that occurred in the first block of West 54th Street on August 12.
At about 10:30 p.m., officers responded to the area and found Tatum Duke, 26, and Pasquel Torrez-Guittrercz, 37, suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Both were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Investigators determined that Duke and Torez-Guittrercz, who knew each other prior to the fight, had a verbal altercation that escalated and turned physical. During the fight, Duke was cut and Torez-Guittrercz was shot.
The circumstances leading up to the fight are still under investigation. Charges are forthcoming.
