SAVANNAH, GA (March 28, 2016): The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police robbery unit is investigating two armed robberies that occurred over the weekend near Forsyth Park.
At approximately 9:45 p.m., March 26, three black males were reportedly sitting on a bench in Forsyth Park when they asked the victim for the time. As the male and female victims passed by, the suspects followed them, brandished a firearm and demanded money. The victims complied.
Detectives describe the suspects as three black males, possibly teenagers, with one wearing a red shirt and red hat.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., March 27, three armed black males, all wearing dark clothing and hooded sweatshirts, asked a male and female victim for the time before robbing them in gunpoint.
