SAVANNAH, GA (February 23, 2015): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Islands Precinct investigators seek to identify the suspect who attempted to use a credit card stolen from a vehicle parked at a church daycare.
The entering auto occurred Jan. 15, at about 9:15 a.m., at Isle of Hope Methodist Church, near Central Avenue and Parkersburg Road. Investigators believe the suspect broke the parked mini van’s windows after noticing an unattended wallet left inside. Credit cards contained in the wallet were immediately cancelled.
Hours later, surveillance cameras at Family Dollar on the 3100 block of Montgomery Street, recorded a male suspect attempting a purchase with one of the canceled cards.
The suspect is a black male in his late 20s to mid-30s. He is about 170 to 190 pounds. The suspect frequents the area near Cann Park.
