SAVANNAH, GA (May 26, 2013):Homicide detectives investigating the death of a Savannah man found in his wrecked car Thursday have determined that he died of a gunshot wound.
Roderick Richardson, 38, of the 500 block of Early Street was found with wounds inconsistent with the severity of the single-car wreck at Mills B. Lane Boulevard and Hopkins Street. The Honda he was driving had struck a chain link fence around Hodge Elementary School about midnight.
Richardson was transported to Memorial University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police violent crimes detectives continue to investigate.
