UPDATE: Jerry Chambers, 16, turned himself in at Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Headquarters Saturday night. He was transported to the Regional Youth Detention Center without incident.

SAVANNAH, GA (June 11, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes investigators have obtained warrants for the arrest of Jerry Chambers, 16, suspected of a robbery and shooting in Savannah Mall’s parking lot on June 10, that left Marie Cochran, 63, with serious injuries.
Chambers faces charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.
Chambers is described as a black male, standing 5-8 and weighing about 115 pounds. He has ties to the Victory Manor neighborhood.
Cochran was reportedly shot when she fought back during a robbery.
The suspects fled the scene in a black Lexus IS 250 sedan, with dark tinted windows. The vehicle was last seen approaching Abercorn Street from Apache Avenue.
