SAVANNAH, GA (September 28, 2012) The victim in a fatal shooting and the man arrested after a pickup transporting both of them crashed in Ardsley Park on Thursday have been identified.
Benjamin Lamar Carter, 35, was found with a gunshot wound in the pickup truck about 3:30 p.m. He was declared dead at Memorial University Medical Center where he had been transported.
Anthony Threatt Robinson, 38, who lists an East Park Avenue address, was taken into custody after the pickup truck he was driving crashed into a house at East 46th and Harmon Streets. He has been charged with driving without a permit, fleeing to elude, failure to maintain lane, driving too fast for conditions, reckless driving, failure to notify after striking an object, failure to yield and obstruction.
The truck matched the description of one that sped away from the Coastal Gold Exchange in the 200 block of Eisenhower Drive after shots were fired there a few minutes earlier.
