SAVANNAH, GA (September 25, 2013): Southside Precinct Detectives for the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department are working to identify a man caught on camera entering multiple automobiles at a Savannah business.
Sunday, Sept. 22, surveillance footage captured the man entering, checking locks and looking into windows of seven vehicles parked outside an auto repair shop, on the 6600 block of Abercorn Street. Surveillance footage also showed the man looking inside and attempting to open doors leading to the front office. These incidents occurred between 9:29 p.m. and 10:22 p.m.
Items were reported missing from at least one car. Detectives are investigating whether items are missing from the remaining vehicles.
The suspect is described as a well-groomed, light-skinned black male or darker skinned white male. He is slender, weighing about 175 pounds and standing about 6-2. He was last seen leaving the scene on foot heading north.
