SAVANNAH, GA ( October 31, 2012 ) Savannah-Chatham Metro Police have arrested two people, and are still searching for the last man involved in the Crab Shack robbery.
October 8, an armed robber entered the Crab Shack gift shop right at closing time, and demanded cash from the employee as she was totaling up the nights receipts. He held her at gunpoint and took her to several parts of the gift shop demanding she open the safe. When she was unable to open it he fled, taking the safe with him. A vehicle was waiting outside the business with a driver and both men left the area before police arrived.
October 15, Amanda ALLEN, 32, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Akem WHITE, 22, was charged with party to a crime, ( armed robbery) Detectives determined throughout their investigation that ALLEN was involved with the planning and WHITE was the driver.
Detectives are still looking for a third suspect, Artedez CALDWELL, 22, for armed robbery.
