SAVANNAH, GA (September 27, 2018) – Savannah Police’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating a morning crash involving a car and a tractor trailer that resulted in serious injuries.
According to a preliminary investigation, Luis Machado, 30, of Kissimmee, Fla., was traveling eastbound, straddling both lanes of Ogeechee Road near I-516 around 6:15 a.m. today when his Nissan Sentra crashed into the rear of a Freightliner tractor trailer that was stopped in traffic. Machado was transported to Memorial Medical Center with serious injuries. The other driver was not injured.
