SAVANNAH, GA (July 5, 2017): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Ogeechee Road and West 37th Street, at approximately 5:30 p.m. on June 28.
The car turned south onto Ogeechee Road from West 36th Street. The driver, Gerard Scott, 29, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a residence in the 2100 block of Ogeechee Road.
Scott suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and was treated for a possible medical issue that may have caused him to lose consciousness while driving. No other injuries were reported.
The Traffic Investigation Unit (TIU) responded to the scene. This investigation is ongoing.
