SAVANNAH, GA (July 11, 2019) – Savannah Police’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating a morning crash that resulted in serious injuries to a 70-year-old scooter driver.
Around 7:50 a.m. Brianna Johnson, 21, of Savannah, was traveling east on Washington Avenue in a Honda Accord at the same time that Harry Bowling, of Savannah, was stopped on his scooter at the stop sign in the median of Reynolds Street at Washington Avenue. Bowling attempted to cross the intersection in front of the Accord, resulting in the collision. He was transported to Memorial Medical Center with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
