SAVANNAH, GA (December 19, 2017) – Metro’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating a three-vehicle crash on Interstate-516 that resulted in multiple injuries this morning.
According to a preliminary investigation, Shannon Hubbard, 25, was traveling westbound on I-516 in a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado about 6:45 a.m. today when she lost control of her vehicle, crossed the median and entered the eastbound lanes. A 2014 Toyota Corolla that was driven by Khairi Law, 23, and traveling eastbound struck the Silverado. The impact sent the Corolla into the right lane, where it struck a 2001 Nissan Altima driven by Kareem Murray, 41.
Hubbard, Law and a passenger in Law’s vehicle were treated for serious injuries. Murray was also treated at a hospital for injuries.
The crash resulted in multi-lane closures to I-516 for about two hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
