SAVANNAH, GA (April 15, 2015): Metro Police collaborated with Orange County, SC, deputies and a finance company to recover a stolen car and arrest a Savannah man who took it from a house last August.
Charles Richard Brice, 47, of a Shawnee Drive address was extradited back to Savannah Tuesday and booked in the Chatham County Detention Center for Auto theft after his arrest in Holly Hill, SC, on August 7.
Southside Precinct detectives from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department had responded on August 3 to a residence where a woman reported her 2002 Toyota Camry was taken. The keys had been left in the kitchen and Brice was the only person who had been in the house who was not present.
Detectives were advised that the car belong to a finance company and learned a GPS was installed on it. The car was tracked to Vance, SC, where deputies located it and Brice. He was has been charged with auto theft by Metro.
