SAVANNAH (Oct. 16) – Savannah Police have arrested one male and one female in connection with an Oct. 11 auto theft. The arrested suspects’ names are withheld due to their age.
The vehicle’s owner had reported her car stolen on Oct. 11, after three juveniles had come to her house and inquired about buying a different vehicle she had for sale in her front yard.
SPD responded to an alert on Oct. 14 from Flocks camera about a stolen 2012 Subaru Legacy around Gwinnett St and Stiles Ave. The officers soon spotted the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the Subaru at Gwinnett St and Magazine Ave.
The suspects were charged with were charged with theft-by-taking (Auto) and theft-by-receiving stolen property.
