Update: Treyvon Cummings, 20, was apprehended in Brantley, Alabama on July 21 for an outstanding warrant for murder in connection with the June 26 fatal shooting in the 8500 block of Waters Ave.
Savannah – The Savannah Police Department is investigating a June 26 shooting in the 8500 block of Waters Ave. that resulted in the death of an adult male.
At approximately 10:23 p.m., SPD responded to reports of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by EMS to Memorial Health University Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
