SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department is investigating a Jan. 22 fatal shooting in the 2000 block of Capital St. that left one adult male deceased, and another with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Police arrived at the scene at around 4:10 p.m. and located one male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers and EMS performed life-saving measures on the scene, and he was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. An additional victim believed to be connected to the incident later arrived at the hospital for treatment. After a preliminary investigation officers believe both victims shot each other during a physical altercation.
