SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department is investigating a Dec. 25 aggravated assault that took place near 48th St. and Burroughs St., leaving two adult males with non-life-threatening injuries.
At around 9 p.m. officers responded to reports of two injured adult males at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and 46th St. It was later determined the victims, while driving, had struck a parked vehicle near the scene, were fired on, and fled. While fleeing they struck an additional unoccupied vehicle and sustained gunshot wounds. Both victims were given initial aid and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center.
