Update: Terrell Nelson, 31, has been arrested in connection with the Nov. 28 shooting in the 1400 block of Augusta Avenue. He was taken into custody on Dec. 1 and charged with murder, aggravated assault, and parole violation.
SAVANNAH – The Savannah Police Department is investigating a Nov. 28 shooting in the 1400 block of Augusta Avenue that left one adult female deceased.
At around midnight, officers responded to the scene based on a Shotspotter notification. Upon arrival, police discovered the victim on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
