Update: Lavorise “Papa” Jackson, 52, has been arrested in connection with the June 28 shooting at the 1000 block of W. Bay Street. His charges include aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
SAVANNAH – Savannah Police Detectives are investigating a June 28 shooting at the 1000 block of W. Bay Street that left one adult male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
At around 10:00 p.m. officers responded to the 1000 block of W. Bay Street regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Memorial Medical Center for treatment and has been discharged.
