SAVANNAH, GA (September 11, 2015): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police investigators have partnered with Georgia Bureau of Investigation forensic artists in creating a composite sketch of the suspect in a home invasion last month.
The incident occurred on August 30 at about 2 a.m. on the 200 block of West Park Avenue. The intruder entered the residence and confronted two occupants. A scuffle ensued between the male victim and the intruder. The suspect may have been injured with a knife. The intruder fired his gun, but no one was hit.
The male victim sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries from fighting the intruder. The female victim was not hurt. Both victims ran to a neighbor’s house for help. The intruder fled.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s, weighing 190-205 pounds. He has a short haircut and no facial hair. During the incident he wore a dark shirt and dark pants, possibly a security uniform. The intruder may have wounds to his shoulder and/or back. He is believed to have left the scene in a light-colored mini-van.
